Our location on Worthing’s picturesque seafront offers a serene and tranquil setting for a funeral reception, wake or celebration of life. However you wish to honour the life of your loved one, our experienced events team are here to provide an empathetic service during a difficult time.

We’ll support you from discussing your ideas and preferences, to planning the event, through to the day itself. We work with sensitivity to help you create a memorable farewell for your loved one and ensure that all arrangements are taken care of, down to the smallest and all-important details.

Within easy reach of both Worthing Crematorium (20 minutes by car) and Chichester Crematorium (40 minutes by car), The Burlington Hotel offers an accessible venue for funeral receptions where you can spend time with family and friends as you remember your loved one.

Choose from one of our three elegant function rooms to host your event – whether it’s a small, intimate gathering or a larger celebration of life:

• The Pearl Room suits smaller, more intimate gatherings and has capacity for up to 30 guests with buffet catering and with 20 guests a sit-down meal is also available.

• The Princess Amelia Room is a large, refined room recently refurbished to preserve and enhance its original period features. It has capacity for up to 100 guests with buffet catering and with 60 guests a sit-down meal is also available.

• The Coral Lounge is ideal for larger, more informal celebrations of life and has capacity for 150 – 180 guests with buffet catering only.

An additional table can be placed in your chosen function room where you can display flowers, photographs of your loved one and a book of condolences.
